About Kadir Has University

Kadir Has University was legally established in 1997 by the Kadir Has Foundation. Its Cibali campus occupies the restored former tobacco factory beside the Golden Horn. The historic industrial building was adapted for university use and officially opened as the campus in 2002.

International admissions

Kadir Has University splits its international undergraduate admission information across four pages: requirements, how to apply, tuition and scholarships, and registration. Eligibility is stated as having graduated from high school, or being expected to graduate and completing studies before the enrolment date. Applicants submit a high school diploma if already obtained, a high school transcript, a passport copy, and — where applicable — English proficiency results, a reference letter and a motivation letter. The application runs as six steps: check requirements, prepare documents, submit the online application, receive a conditional letter, pay a deposit to secure the offer, then receive the full acceptance package; registration is completed in person at the Cibali campus and requires a Turkish high school equivalence paper (Denklik).

  • For Turkish-taught programmes: TÖMER minimum C1, or Yunus Emre Institute Turkish Proficiency test minimum C1
